[679] Sakavādin: Is it not the case that a supramundane phenomenon (lokuttaro dhammo) is not a basis for lust (rāgaṭṭhāniya), not enticing (rajanīya), not desirable (kamanīya), not intoxicating (madanīya), not binding (bandhanīya), not infatuating (mucchanīya)?
Paravādin: Yes.
Sakavādin: If a supramundane phenomenon is not a basis for lust, not enticing, not desirable, not intoxicating, not binding, not infatuating, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said that the speech (vohāra) of the Buddha, the Blessed One, is supramundane.
