[789] S. The eighth person (aṭṭhamaka puggala) has faith (saddhā), and that faith is one that leads out (niyyānika)?
P. Yes.
S. If the eighth person has faith, and that faith is one that leads out, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: "The eighth person has no faith faculty (saddhindriya)."
S. The eighth person has energy (viriya), and that energy is one that leads out … has mindfulness (sati), and that mindfulness is one that leads out … has concentration (samādhi), and that concentration is one that leads out … has wisdom (paññā), and that wisdom is one that leads out?
P. Yes.
S. If the eighth person has wisdom, and that wisdom is one that leads out, then indeed, good sir, it should not be said: "The eighth person has no wisdom faculty (paññindriya)."
