[962] S.: Just as, when the Bodhisatta is being born, four young deities (devaputtā), having received him, place him before his mother, saying, "Be glad, O queen; a son of great power (mahesakkha) has arisen to you" — even so, when the being destined to become a universal monarch (cakkavattisatta) is being born, do four young deities, having received him, place him before his mother, saying, "Be glad, O queen; a son of great power has arisen to you"?
