[1268] For whomever, wherever, the nose faculty (ghānindriya) arose, will the life faculty (jīvitindriya) arise for that one there?
For those in their final existence (pacchimabhavika) in the sense sphere (kāmāvacara): the nose faculty arose for them there, but the life faculty will not arise for them there. For the other beings of the sense sphere: both the nose faculty arose for them there and the life faculty will arise.
Or rather, for whomever, wherever, the life faculty will arise, did the nose faculty arise for that one there?
For those of the form sphere (rūpāvacara) and those of the formless sphere (arūpāvacara): the life faculty will arise for them there, but the nose faculty did not arise for them there. For those of the sense sphere: both the life faculty will arise for them there and the nose faculty arose.
