[405] Is the tongue (jivhā) the tongue-faculty (jivhindriya)? Yes. Are faculties (indriya) the eye-faculty (cakkhundriya)? The eye-faculty is both a faculty and the eye-faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the eye-faculty. … Is the tongue the tongue-faculty? Yes. Are faculties the perfect-knower faculty (aññātāvindriya)? The perfect-knower faculty is both a faculty and the perfect-knower faculty; the remaining faculties are faculties, not the perfect-knower faculty.
