[1712] A phenomenon (dhamma) fixed in wrongness (micchattaniyata) is a condition for an unfixed (aniyata) phenomenon by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya): proximity-decisive-support (anantarūpanissaya), natural decisive-support (pakatūpanissaya).
Natural decisive-support: Having deprived his mother of life, in order to counteract that [deed] he gives a gift (dāna), undertakes virtue (sīla), performs the uposatha observance (uposathakamma); having deprived his father of life …; an Arahant of life …; with a mind (citta) of hatred, the Tathāgata's blood …; having caused a schism in the Saṅgha, in order to counteract that [deed], a gift … virtue … he performs the uposatha observance.
