[1786] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) having the path as root (maggahetuka), a phenomenon having the path as root arises not by kamma condition (na-kammapaccayā): dependent on the aggregates (khandhā) having the path as root, volition (cetanā) having the path as root [arises]. Dependent on a phenomenon having the path as root, a phenomenon having the path as predominance (maggādhipati) … not by kamma condition: dependent on the aggregates having the path as root, volition having the path as predominance [arises]. Dependent on a phenomenon having the path as root, phenomena having the path as root and having the path as predominance … not by kamma condition: dependent on the aggregates having the path as root, volition having the path as root and having the path as predominance [arises].
