[2121] An external (bahiddhā) phenomenon (dhamma) is a condition for an internal (ajjhatta) phenomenon by object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya); it is a condition by decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya); it is a condition by prenascence condition (purejāta-paccaya); it is a condition by nutriment condition (āhāra-paccaya).
