(Abbreviated.) In the jhāna condition (jhāna-paccaya), twenty-one; in the path condition (magga-paccaya), twenty-one; in the association condition (sampayutta-paccaya), one; in the dissociation condition (vippayutta-paccaya), twenty-one; in the presence condition (atthi-paccaya), twenty-one; in the absence condition (natthi-paccaya), one; in the disappearance condition (vigata-paccaya), one; in the non-disappearance condition (avigata-paccaya), twenty-one. It should be counted thus.

The Conascence Chapter (Sahajātavāra), the Conditioned Chapter (Paccayavāra), and the Support Chapter (Nissayavāra) are all similar to the Dependent Chapter; the Conjoined Chapter (Saṃsaṭṭhavāra) and the Associated Chapter (Sampayuttavāra) are to be done only in the immaterial (arūpa).
