[496] A phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by rapture (pītisahagata) is a condition for a phenomenon accompanied by rapture by way of predominance condition (adhipati-paccaya): object-predominance (ārammaṇādhipati) and conascence-predominance (sahajātādhipati).
Object-predominance: Having given a gift with a mind (citta) accompanied by rapture, having undertaken virtue (sīla), having performed the Uposatha observance (uposathakamma), one esteems that and reviews it with a mind accompanied by rapture.
Having emerged from jhāna accompanied by rapture, having emerged from the path (magga), having emerged from fruition (phala), one esteems that and reviews it with a mind accompanied by rapture.
One esteems the aggregates (khandhā) accompanied by rapture with a mind accompanied by rapture, relishes them, and delights in them; having esteemed them, lust (rāga) accompanied by rapture arises, view (diṭṭhi) arises.
Conascence-predominance: The predominance accompanied by rapture is a condition for the associated aggregates by way of predominance condition.
