[590] Conjoined (saṃsaṭṭha) with a hindrance (nīvaraṇa) phenomenon (dhamma), a hindrance phenomenon arises due to root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Conjoined with the hindrance of sensual desire (kāmacchanda-nīvaraṇa), [there arise] the hindrance of dullness and drowsiness (thīnamiddha-nīvaraṇa), the hindrance of restlessness (uddhacca-nīvaraṇa), and the hindrance of ignorance (avijjā-nīvaraṇa).
The wheel (cakka) [of permutations should be constructed].
All the hindrances should be expanded in detail.
