[703] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) accompanied by equanimity (upekkhāsahagata), a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya): dependent on one aggregate (khandha) accompanied by equanimity, two aggregates [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … at the moment of rebirth-linking (paṭisandhi) … Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity, a phenomenon not accompanied by equanimity arises by root condition: dependent on the aggregates accompanied by equanimity, equanimity and mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhāna-rūpa) [arise]. Rebirth-linking. Dependent on a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity, a phenomenon accompanied by equanimity and a phenomenon not accompanied by equanimity arise by root condition: dependent on one aggregate accompanied by equanimity, two aggregates, together with equanimity and mind-originated form, [arise]; dependent on two aggregates … Rebirth-linking. At the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on one aggregate not accompanied by equanimity, three aggregates and form produced by kamma (kaṭattā-rūpa) [arise]; dependent on two aggregates …; at the moment of rebirth-linking, dependent on equanimity, form produced by kamma [arises]; dependent on the aggregates, the base (vatthu) [arises]; dependent on the base, the aggregates [arise]; dependent on equanimity, the base [arises]; dependent on the base, equanimity [arises]; dependent on one great primary element (mahābhūta) … .
