[840] Dependent on a fixed phenomenon (niyata dhamma), a fixed phenomenon arises through root condition (hetu-paccaya):
Dependent on one fixed aggregate (khandha), three aggregates [arise]; [dependent on] two aggregates … .
Dependent on a fixed phenomenon, a not-fixed phenomenon (aniyata dhamma) arises through root condition:
Dependent on the fixed aggregates, mind-originated form (cittasamuṭṭhānaṃ rūpaṃ) [arises]. (Abbreviated.) All five questions (pañhā) should be done. As with the dyad on the emancipating (niyyānika-duka), so too the Dependent Chapter (paṭicca-vāra), the Conascent Chapter (sahajāta-vāra), the Conditioned Chapter (paccaya-vāra), the Supported Chapter (nissaya-vāra), the Conjoined Chapter (saṃsaṭṭha-vāra), and the Associated Chapter (sampayutta-vāra) should be done, without any difference; [only] the wording touched upon (āmasana) differs.
