[1557] Dependent on an unwholesome (akusala) phenomenon (dhamma) that is clinging (upādāna), an unwholesome phenomenon that is clinging arises by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon that is clinging, an unwholesome phenomenon that is not clinging (no-upādāna) arises by root condition. Dependent on an unwholesome phenomenon that is clinging, both an unwholesome phenomenon that is clinging and an unwholesome phenomenon that is not clinging arise by root condition.
