[159] A root (hetu) that is a phenomenon having result as its nature (vipākadhammadhamma) is a condition (paccaya), by way of object condition (ārammaṇa-paccaya), for a root that is a phenomenon having result as its nature; is a condition by way of connascence condition (sahajāta-paccaya); is a condition by way of decisive-support condition (upanissaya-paccaya).
