[316] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and is accompanied by rapture (pītisahagata), there arises a phenomenon that is a root and is accompanied by rapture, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). Three. Dependent on a phenomenon that is a not-root (na-hetu) and is accompanied by rapture, there arises a phenomenon that is a not-root and is accompanied by rapture, by root condition.
