[503] Dependent on a phenomenon (dhamma) that is a root (hetu) and belongs to one beyond training (asekkha), there arises a phenomenon that is a root and belongs to one beyond training, by root condition (hetu-paccaya). (Three.) Dependent on a phenomenon that is not a root (na-hetu) and belongs to one beyond training, there arises a phenomenon that is not a root and belongs to one beyond training, by root condition. (Three.) Dependent on a phenomenon that is a root and belongs to one beyond training and on a phenomenon that is not a root and belongs to one beyond training, there arises a phenomenon that is a root and belongs to one beyond training, by root condition. (Three.)
