[289] Dependent on a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) not accompanied by roots (na-sahetuka), a not-wholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a not-wholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots, a not-unwholesome (na-akusala) phenomenon not accompanied by roots arises by root condition. Dependent on a not-wholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots, a not-wholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots and a not-unwholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots arise by root condition: three. Dependent on a not-unwholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots, a not-unwholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots arises by root condition. Dependent on a not-unwholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots, a not-wholesome phenomenon not accompanied by roots arises by root condition.
