[836] Dependent on a wholesome (kusala) phenomenon (dhamma) associated with pleasant feeling (sukhāya vedanāya sampayutta), a not-wholesome (na-kusala) phenomenon not associated with pleasant feeling (na-sukhāya vedanāya sampayutta) arises by root condition (hetupaccayā). Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling, a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with painful feeling (na-dukkhāya vedanāya sampayutta) arises by root condition. Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling, a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling (na-adukkhamasukhāya vedanāya sampayutta) arises by root condition. Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling, a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with pleasant feeling and a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling arise by root condition. Dependent on a wholesome phenomenon associated with pleasant feeling, a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with painful feeling and a not-wholesome phenomenon not associated with neither-painful-nor-pleasant feeling arise by root condition.
