[136] The people of Rājagaha heard: "It is said that the Blessed One has allowed householders' robe-cloth (gahapaticīvara) for the bhikkhus." And those people were glad and elated, thinking: "Now indeed we shall give gifts, we shall make merit, since the Blessed One has allowed householders' robe-cloth for the bhikkhus." In a single day, many thousands of robe-cloths arose in Rājagaha.
