[584] *(Summary verses — uddāna — concluding the preceding khandhaka)* [Offences] unconcealed; [concealed] for one day, two days, three days, and four days; of offences [concealed] for five days, a fortnight, ten days and so on; for months; and the great complete purificatory probation (mahāparisuddhanta [parivāsa])¹ ²; one who disrobes; [offences] of a measured number³; two bhikkhus perceiving [the offences] as such; two in doubt; those who view [the offences] as mixed⁴; those who view them as mixed and unmixed⁵; those who view [the offences] as of an impure [class]⁶, and likewise those who view them as of a pure [class]⁷; one conceals, one does not conceal; then, by one who has departed⁸; and the confession of one gone mad⁹; the eighteen [cases of] sending back to the beginning (mūlāya paṭikassanā), by way of purity¹⁰. This is the recitation of the teachers, the analysts of the text (vibhajjapada), who bring gladness to the island of Tambapaṇṇi, the dwellers in the Mahāvihāra — for the endurance of the true Dhamma. *[Editorial footnotes of the Siam Raṭṭha edition:]* ¹ In the M[arammā] and Yu[ropean] books the reading found here is dissimilar to this; one who wishes to know should consult those two books. ² M., Yu.: "pañcāha ca pakkhadasannaṃ āpattim āha mahāmuni; suddhanto ca vibbhanto parimāṇamukhaṃ."
