[589] At that time the Buddha, the Blessed One, was dwelling at Rājagaha, in the Veḷuvana, the Squirrels' Feeding Ground (Kalandakanivāpa). Now at that time the Venerable Dabba the Mallaputta, at seven years from birth, had realized arahantship (arahatta). Whatever is to be attained by a disciple, all of that had been attained by him; and for him there was nothing further to be done, nor any adding to what had been done.
