Sativinayya

[599] Bhikkhus, there are these five legitimate (dhammika) grants of the verdict of mindfulness (sativinaya): the bhikkhu is pure, without offense (anāpatti); others accuse him; and he requests it; the Saṅgha grants him the verdict of mindfulness; [and the Saṅgha grants it] in accordance with the Dhamma, in harmony. These, bhikkhus, are the five legitimate grants of the verdict of mindfulness.
