[682] Through how many means of settlement (samatha) is a legal issue arising from accusation (anuvādādhikaraṇa) settled?
A legal issue arising from accusation is settled through four means of settlement: resolution in the presence (sammukhāvinaya), resolution through recollection (sativinaya), resolution on account of past insanity (amūḷhavinaya), and the further penalty for aggravated misconduct (tassapāpiyasikā).
