Vinayapiṭaka · Cūḷavagga (2) · Vol. 7 · Section 113

[113] Bhikkhus, the bowl may be overturned against a lay follower (upāsaka) possessed of eight factors: he strives for the loss of gains for the bhikkhus; he strives for the harm of the bhikkhus; he strives so that the bhikkhus may not reside [there]; he abuses and reviles the bhikkhus; he divides bhikkhus from bhikkhus; he speaks dispraise of the Buddha; he speaks dispraise of the Dhamma; he speaks dispraise of the Saṅgha. Bhikkhus, I allow the bowl to be overturned against a lay follower possessed of these eight factors.
