[363] Then the Blessed One addressed the Venerable Sāriputta: "In that case, Sāriputta, you should proclaim Devadatta in Rājagaha." "Venerable sir, formerly I spoke praise of Devadatta in Rājagaha, saying: 'The son of Godhī is of great psychic power; the son of Godhī is of great majesty.' How, venerable sir, am I to proclaim Devadatta in Rājagaha?" "Was it not the truth, Sāriputta, that you spoke when you praised Devadatta in Rājagaha, saying: 'The son of Godhī is of great psychic power; the son of Godhī is of great majesty'?" "Yes, venerable sir." "Even so, Sāriputta, it is just what is true that you should proclaim concerning Devadatta in Rājagaha." "Yes, venerable sir," the Venerable Sāriputta replied to the Blessed One.
