[601] Now at that time a certain bhikkhunī, without having renounced the training (sikkhaṃ appaccakkhāya), returned to the lay life. Having come back again, she asked the bhikkhunīs for full ordination (upasampadā). They informed the Blessed One of this matter. "Bhikkhus, for a bhikkhunī there is no renouncing of the training; at the very moment she has returned to the lay life, at that very moment she is no longer a bhikkhunī."
