[1108] How does one bring another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about? Demonstrating what is not Dhamma as "not Dhamma," one brings another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about; demonstrating what is Dhamma as "Dhamma," one brings another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about … demonstrating a grave offence (duṭṭhullā āpatti) as "a grave offence," one brings another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about; demonstrating an offence that is not grave as "an offence that is not grave," one brings another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about. Thus one brings another to understanding in a matter where understanding should be brought about.
