[1154] "The removal of the kaṭhina (kaṭhinuddhāra) that consists in the cutting off of expectation was declared by the Kinsman of the Sun (Ādiccabandhu); and this I ask you: which impediment (palibodha) is severed first? "The removal of the kaṭhina that consists in the cutting off of expectation was declared by the Kinsman of the Sun; and this I shall answer you: the impediment of the residence (āvāsapalibodha) is severed first; when the expectation of a robe has been cut off, the impediment of the robe (cīvarapalibodha) is severed."
