[336] A bhikkhu who, having been invited and being engaged for a meal (sabhatta), without asking leave of a bhikkhu who is present, engages in visiting among families either before the meal or after the meal, commits two offenses (āpatti): when he crosses the threshold with the first foot, there is an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); when he crosses with the second foot, there is an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya).
