[373] One who, without having previously announced himself (appaṭisaṃvidita), enters the royal inner quarters (antepura) incurs two offences (āpatti): as he brings his first foot across the threshold, there is an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); as he brings his second foot across, there is an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya).
