[479] "The saṅghādisesa (offense entailing a formal meeting of the Saṅgha) on account of having a large dwelling (vihāra) built — where was it laid down?"
"It was laid down at Kosambī."
"Concerning whom?"
"Concerning the Venerable Channa."
"Regarding what matter?"
"Regarding the matter that the Venerable Channa, while clearing the site for a dwelling, had a certain shrine-tree (cetiyarukkha) cut down."
There is one laying down of the rule (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), this offense arises through six origins.
