[685] Standing together, one with one, with a man in the darkness of night, without a lamp, [a bhikkhunī]¹ incurs two offenses (āpatti): standing within arm's reach (hatthapāsa), she incurs an offense of pācittiya; standing having left arm's reach, she incurs an offense of dukkaṭa.
