[717] Spinning thread, she [a bhikkhunī] commits two offences (āpatti): as she spins, in the act itself, there is an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); with each back-and-forth movement [of the spindle] (ujjavujjave), there is an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya).
