[851] Therein, what are the six grounds of discipline (vinītavatthu)? Abstinence, desistance, refraining, and abstention from the six kinds of disrespect; the non-performing, the non-doing, the non-incurring of offence, the non-transgression of the limit, the destruction of the bridge (setughāta). These are the six grounds of discipline.
