[197] Then, when that night had passed, the brahmin Soṇadaṇḍa, having had excellent hard and soft food prepared in his own residence, had the time announced to the Blessed One: "It is time, worthy Gotama; the meal is ready." Then the Blessed One, having dressed in the morning and taken his bowl and robe, went together with the Saṅgha of bhikkhus to the residence of the brahmin Soṇadaṇḍa; having approached, he sat down on the seat that had been prepared. Then the brahmin Soṇadaṇḍa with his own hand served and satisfied the Saṅgha of bhikkhus headed by the Buddha with excellent hard and soft food.
