[111] **A living being (pāṇo)** means: a living human being (manussapāṇo) is what is spoken of.
If, with the intention to steal (theyyacitta), he touches that person, there is an offense (āpatti) of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). If he makes him stir, there is a grave offense (thullaccaya). If he moves him from his place, there is an offense entailing defeat (pārājika).
If, thinking, "I shall lead him away on foot," he makes him take the first step, there is a grave offense (thullaccaya). If he makes him take the second step, there is an offense entailing defeat (pārājika).
