[119] "Making an appointment (saṅketakamma)" means: a bhikkhu makes an appointment, saying, "Take that article by that appointment before the meal or after the meal, by night or by day" — he commits an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). If [the other] takes that article in accordance with that appointment, there is an offense entailing defeat (pārājika) for both. If he takes that article before or after that appointed time, there is no offense for the instigator (mūlaṭṭha); for the one who takes it, there is an offense entailing defeat.
