[160] Now at that time several bhikkhus, having made an arrangement together, set out, thinking, "We shall steal goods." One of them stole the goods. They said thus: "We are not pārājika; the one who took it, he is pārājika." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, you have committed an offense (āpatti) entailing pārājika."
Now at that time several bhikkhus, having made an arrangement together, stole goods and divided them. As they were being divided by them, the share of each one did not amount to five māsakas. They said thus: "We are not pārājika." They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, you have committed an offense entailing pārājika."
