Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (1) · Vol. 1 · Section 36

[36] *"Is pārājika"* means: just as a man whose head has been cut off is incapable of living by means of that bodily connection, even so a bhikkhu, having engaged in sexual intercourse (methunaṃ dhammaṃ), is not an ascetic, not a son of the Sakyans (asakyaputtiya); therefore it is said, "he is pārājika."
