[558] When it has been seen that [a bhikkhu] is committing a pārājika offense, if he causes him to be accused, saying: "You have been heard to have committed a pārājika offense" … "You have been suspected to have committed a pārājika offense" … "You have been heard, you have been suspected to have committed a pārājika offense" … there is an offense (āpatti) of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.
When it has been heard: "He has committed a pārājika offense," if he causes him to be accused, saying: "You have been suspected …" … if he causes him to be accused, saying: "You have been seen …" … if he causes him to be accused, saying: "You have been suspected, you have been seen to have committed a pārājika offense" … there is an offense of saṅghādisesa for each utterance.
