[94] "Goods situated aloft" (vehāsaṭṭha) means goods that are suspended in the air: hung upon a bed or a bench, upon a robe-rod or a robe-line, upon a wall-peg or an ivory peg (nāgadanta), or upon a tree — even upon a bowl-stand.
If, with a thieving mind (theyyacitta), thinking, "I shall carry off goods situated aloft," he searches for a companion or goes there: an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). If he touches it: an offense of wrong-doing. If he makes it stir: a grave offense (thullaccaya). If he moves it from its place: an offense of defeat (pārājika).
