[13] Bhikkhus, this is one law of nature (dhammatā): when the Bodhisatta (bodhisatta) passes away from the Tusita host and descends into his mother's womb, then in this world with its devas, its Māras, and its Brahmās, in this generation with its ascetics and brahmins, its devas and human beings, an immeasurable, magnificent radiance appears in the world, surpassing the divine majesty of the devas. Even in those void interstices between the worlds — unenclosed regions of gloom and blinding darkness, where even this moon and sun, so mighty and so powerful, do not prevail with their light — there too an immeasurable, magnificent radiance appears, surpassing the divine majesty of the devas. And the beings who have been reborn there perceive one another by that radiance: "It seems, sirs, that other beings too have been reborn here!" And this ten-thousandfold world-system shakes, quakes, and trembles; and an immeasurable, magnificent radiance appears in the world, surpassing the divine majesty of the devas. This is the law of nature in this case.
