[14] Bhikkhus, this is the rule (dhammatā): when the Bodhisatta has descended into his mother's womb, four young gods (devaputta) approach to keep guard over the four quarters, so that no one — whether human or non-human — may harm the Bodhisatta or the Bodhisatta's mother. This is the rule here.
