[132] "Venerable sir, how are we to conduct ourselves toward women (mātugāma)?" "By not seeing them, Ānanda." "But when there is seeing, Blessed One, how should one conduct oneself?" "By not addressing them, Ānanda." "But when they address one, venerable sir, how should one conduct oneself?" "Mindfulness (sati), Ānanda, should be established."
