[190] Then the Blessed One, not long after the Venerable Ānanda had departed, having dressed in the morning and taken his bowl and robe, entered Nādika for alms. Having walked for alms in Nādika, after the meal, on returning from the alms round, he washed his feet, entered the Brick House (giñjakāvasatha), and, concerning the Magadhan devotees (paricāraka), gave attention, applied the mind, and directed his whole mind to the matter; he sat down on the seat prepared, thinking: "I shall know their destination, their future state—what destination those worthy ones have, what future state." And the Blessed One saw regarding the Magadhan devotees what destination those worthy ones had, what future state. Then in the evening the Blessed One, having emerged from seclusion, came out of the Brick House and sat down on the seat prepared in the shade of the dwelling.
