[207] This, venerable sir, was the matter that Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra spoke. And, venerable sir, while Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra was speaking this matter, this reflection arose in the mind of the great king Vessavaṇa: "It is wonderful indeed, sirs, it is marvellous indeed, that there should be so magnificent a Teacher, so magnificent an exposition of the Dhamma, and that such magnificent attainments of distinction (visesādhigama) should be made known!"
Then, venerable sir, Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra, having known with his own mind the reflection in the mind of the great king Vessavaṇa, said this to the great king Vessavaṇa: "What does the worthy great king Vessavaṇa think of this? In the past age, too, there was such a magnificent Teacher, there was such a magnificent exposition of the Dhamma, and such magnificent attainments of distinction were made known. In the future age, too, there will be such a magnificent Teacher, there will be such a magnificent exposition of the Dhamma, and such magnificent attainments of distinction will be made known."
