[225] "Who indeed are you, sir—
so beautiful, glorious, majestic?
Not knowing, we ask you:
how are we to know you?"
"In the Brahmā world they know me
as the Youth (Kumāra), the Eternal One (sanantana);
all the gods know me—
thus, Govinda, should you know me."
"A seat, water, foot-salve,
and honey-cakes, as befit a Brahmā—
with gifts of hospitality we invite the good sir;
may the good sir accept our gift of hospitality."
"We accept your gift of hospitality,
Govinda, of which you speak.
For welfare and benefit in the present life
and for happiness in the life to come,
the opportunity being granted, ask
whatever you desire."
