[226] Then, sirs, it occurred to the brahmin Mahāgovinda: 'The Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra has granted me the opportunity. Should I ask the Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra about the benefit pertaining to the present life, or about the benefit pertaining to lives to come?' Then, sirs, it occurred to the brahmin Mahāgovinda: 'I am skilled in benefits pertaining to the present life; others too ask me about benefit pertaining to the present life. Why don't I ask the Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra only about the benefit pertaining to lives to come?' Then, sirs, the brahmin Mahāgovinda addressed the Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra in verse:
