[227] (The Great Steward addressed the Brahmā Sanaṅkumāra in verse:)
"I, being in doubt, ask Sanaṅkumāra the Brahmā,
who is free of doubt, about matters to be known from others:
standing in what, and training in what,
does a mortal attain the deathless Brahmā world?"
(Sanaṅkumāra:)
"Having abandoned possessiveness among human beings, O brahmin,
become unified, devoted to compassion (karuṇā),
free of the stench of putrefaction (nirāmagandha), abstaining from sexual intercourse —
standing in this, and training in this,
a mortal attains the deathless Brahmā world."
